CARE (Countering Adversity via Remote Education) Teaching Fellowship

We are the first teaching fellowship relying exclusively and permanently upon online platforms to conduct classes in high-need but remote areas across the world. With teaching fellows calling in from Berlin to Sydney, you can now participate in sustaining educational equity from the comfort of your home.

Imagine your classes motivating a low-income child to return to a subsidized school, sheltered from the dangers of street life. Imagine being a mentor to an orphan, your enthusiastic, warm demeanor instilling in them a lifetime love for education. Through the CARE Teaching Fellowship, we hope to spearhead an accessible, model for humanitarian service while adapting to time differences and social distancing policies.

We have a comprehensive 30-week curriculum for conversational ESL instruction. Applying digital resources provided by national curricula and textbook boards, you will also have the opportunity to teach a range of classes from Physics to Mathematics with students ranging from Grades 1-12.

Our fellowship program will give you the opportunity to join a prestigious international network of remote teachers while ameliorating historic learning losses amid the pandemic. Be mindful that the children we serve come from disenfranchised backgrounds in many cases having experienced neglect, bereavement, sexual violence, and domestic violence. We expect that our fellows will be in equal parts illuminating and empathetic. Empathy is measurable. It manifests through punctuality, lesson planning, and a passion to show your students how invested you are in their futures. The security and long-term well being of the children we serve will always be our number one priority.
